The 4th & Downie St Development will include 166 rental units across 3 buildings, located at 421 Edward St, 418 & 422 Downie St in the Southside neighborhood, near downtown Revelstoke.
This site was once home to Mount Begbie Elementary School. BC Housing purchased the site in 2018 with the goal to expand housing options in the area, and selected the Revelstoke Community Housing Society in 2024 to complete design, construction, and operations of the buildings.
The completed development aims to provide a range of below and near-market rental homes for residents, along with a nonprofit childcare centre.

The Revelstoke Community Housing Society is a non-profit corporation, formed by local citizens in collaboration with the City of Revelstoke. The Society's primary objective is to provide, manage, and promote a range of below-market housing options that are accessible to residents. RCHS aims to become a self-sustaining housing development and management entity.
